I can slay (I can slay) my own dragons. (My own dragons) I can dream my own dreams. (My own dreams) My knight in shining armor (shining armor) is me. So I'm gonna set me free. -Cinderella by The Cheetah Girls Lyrics from [link]
This was done for my Visual Arts class's printmaking unit. We had to choose a quote from a book/song/whatever that we can interpret from. *points to the above* Every girl dreams of their own wedding with their special someone right? xD
Gosh, this thing took forever! It didn't take as much time as my linocutting print that I did last year.
I finally managed to pull 3 prints out of like, 12 that looked similar this week. The other 9 prints looked either too dark or I pulled too much ink from the plexiglass. Since this project is due tomorrow, I'd thought I should scan this in. I'm quite proud of it.
Sorry, I kinda went inactive from dA; I've been so busy with my bio and chem work. My art classes are adding up the stress pile lol.
I'll post some pictures of the very first print that I made with the plexiglass (and the template itself!) later.
EDIT: Re-uploaded it because I wanted to adjust the lighting. xD
-------------------------------------------- Done with: Plexiglass, dentist tools (? I don't even know what they're called LOL), printmaking ink (dunno what it was called, I'll check back later), cartridge paper.
Printmaking last year in art was fun. We carved linoleum tiles though. And we pretty much just made a nice design instead of anything meaningful.
And next week, we're doing printmaking again. This time, we can choose between spray-paint stencils, watercolor silkscreening, and linoleum carving. I think I'll do linoleum again, but I haven't decided what to do for a subject. I've got like 5 thumbnails drawn of potential subjects, and I keep drawing/thinking of more.
Yeah, I finished carving my plate and I've been making prints. I've made four so far, but only one turned out good, and I need 6 good ones. I plan to finish it next class, which is tomorrow.

Good luck on your final decision, you're so lucky to have so many options!
